Blue Environmental LLC online estimate tool Effective date: October 11, 2026

This policy covers the online estimate tool at https://quote.blueenv.com. The tool is run by Blue Environmental LLC, a Washington State environmental consulting company. It explains what information the tool collects, how we use it, who handles it, and how you can ask us to see, correct, or delete it.

What the tool does

The tool asks you a series of questions about a construction or industrial site in Washington State. It then asks for your contact details and shows you a preliminary price estimate for stormwater compliance services.

What we collect

During the chat, the tool collects what you tell it about the site. That usually includes:

  • Project or facility name
  • County and city
  • Disturbed acreage or facility details
  • Whether there is known contamination
  • Construction dates
  • Which services you want
  • The full text of what you type

On the contact form, we collect:

  • Your full name
  • Your company
  • Project location
  • Email address
  • Phone number (optional)
  • A consent checkbox and the time you checked it

We use your IP address only to limit how many requests one visitor can send. It is stored as a salted hash for that purpose. We never store it in readable form.

How the chat works

The chat runs on Claude, an AI model made by Anthropic. Your messages are sent to Anthropic through its API so the model can read them and write replies. Anthropic processes the text only to generate those replies. Blue Environmental does not use your data to train any AI model.

How we use your information

We use your information for three things:

  1. To produce your preliminary estimate.
  2. To send the estimate to your email address.
  3. To follow up with you about the services you asked about.

We may use your email address to follow up on your request. We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with third parties for their own purposes.

Where your information goes and how long we keep it

Chat in progress. While you are chatting, the conversation is held in a Redis database run by Upstash and hosted through Vercel. It expires automatically after 24 hours.

Completed lead record. When you submit the contact form, we save a lead record. It contains your contact details, your answers, the chat transcript, and the estimate. It is stored as a private file in Vercel Blob storage for 24 months.

Email. We send an email with the same information to Blue Environmental's mailbox. We send a copy of the estimate to your email address. These emails are delivered through Resend.

CRM. We create a lead item in our Monday.com CRM with your contact details and the estimate.

Server logs. Our server logs contain no personal data. They hold no names, emails, phone numbers, addresses, message text, or full IP addresses.

Service providers

The following companies process data on our behalf to run the tool. All of them are US-based services.

  • Vercel: hosting and file storage
  • Upstash: database
  • Anthropic: AI model
  • Resend: email delivery
  • Monday.com: CRM

Cookies and tracking

The tool sets no cookies and has no user accounts. It uses your browser's local storage for one thing: remembering whether you chose the light or dark theme. There are no analytics trackers and no advertising trackers.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to show you the information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Email paulp@blueenv.com with your request.

Deletion covers the stored lead file and the CRM item. Copies already delivered to Blue Environmental's mailbox are handled on request.

If you live in Washington State, you may also have rights under state law.

Children

This tool is for businesses. It is not directed at anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

About the estimate

The estimate the tool shows is preliminary. It is not a binding quote. Final pricing depends on a review of your project by Blue Environmental.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page and update the effective date.

Governing law

This policy is governed by the laws of Washington State.
